Speed Camera Locations

When you are driving in the UK one of the most difficult things for you to do is to avoid the speed cameras that you might run into. The speed cameras will take pictures of you doing various speeds, and will be able to show when you have been going faster than you were supposed to go. Based on evidence from the speed cameras, you can be issued speeding tickets and need to have points on your driving record, as well as have fines that are instituted. Therefore, if you can understand the various locations of the speed cameras, you might be able to avoid some of them.

There are many different locations for you to be aware of, and these locations come from the  many different types of speed cameras that you might be dealing with. Some of the cameras, most of them, are stationery. This includes the Gatso, which takes pictures of the back of your car, and another model, which takes pictures of the front of your car. Most of the time, this is something that you can avoid, because both of these types of speed cameras will show up on radar detectors in enough time for you to slow down so that you aren’t caught by them. Also, they can be seen, even if they are hidden behind signs and under bridges, because they are normally huge boxes and some of them have been painted over in bright colours. Therefore, these speed cameras are going to be able to show your speed and if you can avoid them, they won’t take pictures of you.

Most of the speed cameras that are mounted are going to be found behind signs, under bridges, and attached to buildings, so it should be able to be easy for you to start to look for them. Most of the speed cameras that take pictures on the motorway are also easy to spot, even those that take pictures from one point to the next. Therefore, these cameras are easy to find, no matter what location they are found in.  However, there are other cameras that are not as easy to spot.

Many of the types of speed cameras that are out there are actually harder to find because they are hidden. The Gatso has a type that is called a mini or mobile Gatso, and this is found hidden in vans or other things. You might never know when you are driving past one of these cameras, and if they catch you speeding, the penalty is still going to be the same. Therefore, it is not easy to figure out where these types of speed cameras are, and it is not easy to avoid them, either.

Another type of camera that is hard to avoid are the hand held speed guns and cameras that the police use. These are now found all over the place, and so there is no real way to figure out where the speed camera locations are for these. A policeman can be just about anywhere, and he or she will be able to use their own speed camera as one of the ways that they can catch you in the act. This is something that is very dangerous and drastically difficult for you to avoid, so if you are speeding you should know that you will probably be caught by these types of things.

No matter what the speed camera location is, you  might be able to avoid it if you can use a radar detector or a GPS system like the Road Angel. These systems can tell you where stationery speed cameras are, and this should be enough for you to be able to avoid them. However, for some types of speed cameras, like those that are found in mobile units, it can be almost impossible to get a good idea of where they are from using things like the radar detectors or GPS units. Therefore, sometimes you just have to be careful and follow the speed limits so that you don’t end up with a costly speeding ticket.
